Assingment
The task was to create a responsive website for a fictional hotel using clean HTML/CSS. The project aimed to create a user-friendly and responsive website that would be inviting and adhere to best practices.
Process
This was my first experience with writing and experimenting with HTML/CSS. I created the basic page following the teacher's instructions, and after completing the task as per the guidelines, I further experimented on my own. I added hover effects and changed the illustrative images on web view to be backgrounds with a darkened overlay in the mobile view. I also changed the basic fonts and colors to give more personality and created the simplistic "KHT Hotels" logo in Figma.
My takeaway
As this was my first experience with HTML/CSS, I learned a lot. The main takeaway was understanding how to test my code and troubleshoot errors. Additionally, I learned how to create and link different CSS files for both desktop and mobile views.
