This case study focuses on improving the user experience of an animal shelter website to increase pet adoptions.
The research identified common pain points, such as the lack of online forms and responsive design, as well as cluttered websites filled with calls-to-action. User personas were created, and a user flow for the pet adoption process was developed. Paper wireframes and digital low-fidelity designs were created for different devices, and a design system including color palette, typography, and logo design was established. Accessibility considerations were also taken into account. Usability studies were conducted to make improvements, resulting in a user-friendly website that encourages pet adoption.
My takeaway
With this project I learner different methods of building components and how to use components to make my work more efficient.
Additionally, I got more comfortable with auto layout and Figma overall.
