Community Resource Sharing app

UX/UI design

This case study explores the design journey of a community resource sharing app and its responsive website.
Research identified common user pain points, including inconsistent experiences across multiple platforms, limited focus on community building and fostering connections, and inadequate search and filtering options. User personas were created based on the analysis of users with similar characteristics. The design process commenced with the development of user flows and IA. From low-fidelity wireframes to a high-fidelity design prototype, the app's design was refined. The process also involved designing a corresponding responsive website, with periodic usability testing and iterations on both.

My takeaway

With this project, I deepened my understanding of Figma. Additionally, I gained knowledge of how to use a design system and customize its components to suit my unique requirements.
Furthermore, I discovered that in my country, there are no platforms for communities to gather, except for a few unmoderated Facebook groups.
Finally, I confirmed that user testing is essential in UX and UI design projects. It is the crucial step that guarantees the creation of a product that connects with real users, giving them a pleasant and easy experience.
